Chester Park Infant School runs a 'Forest Schools' programme to offer children opportunities to enjoy their local woodlands, with the aim of developing an understanding for natural places.
The children experience nature at first hand. They also work co-operatively, make choices and develop speaking and thinking skills in the outdoors. This is an excellent way to support and enrich the Foundation Stage curriculum.
'The freedom to explore using multiple senses is fundamental for encoraging creative, diverse and imaginative play'
