This term our topic is called Long, Long Ago which is about traditional tales.
In English we will be exploring alternative versions of traditional tales. Children will have the opportunity to listen to a range of traditional tales and become immersed in the features and writing techniques. We will be putting into practise what we have learnt to invent our own traditional tale and share these with our parents.
In maths we are focusing on multiplication and division. We will be counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3's and using arrays to write linked multiplication and division number sentences.
In art we will be focusing on the artist Arthur Rackham and producing work inspired by his images.
In science we will be investigating how seeds and bulbs grow and will be having an exciting Amaryllis race. Building on our understanding of maps from term 1 we will be creating our own fairy tale map using a key and symbols.
