Anansi  - Making Links

For the rest of this term we are encouraging the children to be 'making links' at school. This means children make links in their own learning and spot patterns and notice things that are similar or the same. The character the children are familiar with for making links is Anansi the Spider. Please encourage your child to be making links as a behaviour for learning and celebrate them sharing this with you at home.

Rugby 6 Nations Day

This week each class were given the opportunity to work with Mark Tyrrell, rugby sports coach from The Sports Project.  The Sports Project’s intention is to develop as many children as possible, not just in sport, but in themselves as well—by embedding values like respect, independence, confidence, leadership and teamwork.  Each class enjoyed a game of tag rugby, it was lovely to see the children working together as a team.  Thank you to Mark for coming into school.

Parent/Carers Evenings

You are invited into school to discuss your child’s progress and talk to the class teacher on Tuesday 3rd March or Wednesday 4th March 2020 between 3.20pm and 6pm.

Please book a 10-minute appointment through the email invitation that has been sent to you.  If you need help, please see the school office.

Children do not attend the parent/teacher interview.  If you have no other option than to bring your child, please ensure that he/she is supervised while they wait for you.  Thank you.

World Book Day

This year World Book Day will take place on Thursday 5th March.

Each year the children and staff at Chester Park celebrate World Book Day by coming into school dressed as their favourite book characters.  We always look forward to   seeing everyone's ideas and costumes.

We hope you will join in this year and send your child to school dressed as a book character.  There will also be a change to the school dinner menu on this day.
